4 Special Teas

Tea, glorious tea! I’m an avid tea drinker, I mean I’m Moroccan, it’s in my blood right?! Here are 4 special teas that are so underrated and you definitely need to try:

Rose Tea

Often referred to as “lady’s tea” Rose Tea has super amazing benefits for whoever drinks it. It is a healthy caffeine-free alternative to green and black tea. This tea has been proven to boost immune systems and digestion as well as being excellent for skin and hair. Benefits also include beneficial effects during Time Of The Month. Also rich in vitamin C and many antioxidants.

Butterfly Pea Flower Tea

Move over Green Tea… Blue tea is here! Maybe the most special of the bunch this gorgeous bright blue tea is Butterfly Pea Flower tea and is as common in it’s native region of Southeast Asia as Tetley’s Tea Bags are here in the UK. It’s Served hot or cold and is usually mixed with honey, ginger, mint or passionfruit. The colour of this stunning tea changes based on the pH of whatever is added. so squeeze some lime in it and watch it turn purple! Coooooooool. Asides from being aesthetically pleasing, this tea is just like her green sister and is know to be full of potent antioxidants as well as helping to reduce inflammation and fight conjunctivitis.

Saffron Tea

Definitely one of my favourites in this list, Saffron tea is an ultimate tea, meaning it can do no wrong. It has a potent taste, so a little goes a long way. Drink it alone or blend it with green tea. Drinking Saffron tea has so many health benefits including; acts as an anti-depressant, PMS treatment, memory booster, cancer prevention as well as beauty benefits such as clearer skin.

Lemon Tea

So, Lemon Tea! underrated bad boy. Usually when you hear Lemon Tea, it’s black or green tea leaves with a squeeze of lemon in them. I however like to simmer lemon slice in water and drink that with a spoon of honey to get caffeine- free benefits. Well known for battling cold and flu viruses, lemon tea is also brilliant for facilitating iron absorption, aiding in digestive health, improving insulin activity, cleansing and detoxifying the body, fighting acne and aiding in urine production.
